My son Spencer used to fence at Prise de Fer. He had to stop because the private school he goes to did not make it possible for him to continue. We are moving and realized we still have his equipment, which is still in very good shape. We wonder if it could be sold (the money would go to him, he needs it) or worst case given away (better than throwing it away) through Prise de Fer. Thanks in advance for letting us know! Here is what he has: Electrical foil weapon Electrical epee weapon Cord SG Removable 3 weapon mask Jacket (practice, cotton, size 38) Lame (unisex, practice) Pants (size 30) Victory low top shoes (size 11) Bag (beginner's) In very good shape, very well suited for a 12 to 16 year old (depending on size) Most of these bought from Blue Gauntlet.

Prise de fer is the BOMB! All of their students are dedicated and hard working fencers. especially sophie. oh yea, and daria. henry isn't that hard working, but he kicks my butt from time to time. and their coaching staff is AWESOME...(you know who you are..) anyway, if you're looking to fence, this is a great place to begin. I am interested in finding other saber fencers who would like to get together for some open/round-robbin fencing. I am a novice saber fencer in CT and am having difficulty gaining saber experience. I am particularly interested in fencing with adult/veteran individuals, but would be willing to travel to meet up with others. Do you have anyone there interested in such a get together or maybe a group who are already doing this? I appreciate your time and thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. I currently train with a coach but am looking for some weekend type camps with other coaches just to gain different ideas, techniques, etc. Do you have anything like this at your facility?
