Engarde Page
I had the hardest time finding any sort of useful information on any website
about using the French fencing software Engarde.
Click here to download my revised version of
Engarde (1621kb) (Revised 2/1/06)
- 2/1/06 - Updated Engarde.exe in the zip file to 8.16 for XML input (Hooray
for askFRED compatibility). There are some new translation issues I need
to take care of, but for the most part, you can figure it out.
- 10/24/03 Modified HTML creation to have the fields I want
- 10/24/03 Modified some of the defaults on the reports to the way I need
them
- 10/01/02 Updated layout and some text in manual. Added the Fencer
Code to USFA Classification Chart to the Zip File
- 9/29/02 Updated text file on Version 8 of Engarde.
- 9/29/02 Uploaded rough draft of instruction manual (in above zip file)
- 9/18/02 Fixed the Place/seeding tag that was called 'fencer code' to
Ranking.
- 9/17/02 Have stared outline for my instruction manual and taken 70+ screen
shots of Engarde. Will hopefully start writing the text by this
weekend
- 9/17/02 Switched what I had renamed Deposit and Notes, the field that I
had renamed Notes was a numeric field and therefore not the most useful for
making notes in.
- 9/9/02 I Cleaned up some of the British English
- 9/9/02 I Changed some of the field names to things I wanted (State to Section,
Country to division)
- 9/9/02 I added the bout orders for pools of 9&10
- I will hopefully be posting a Help file and editing the text file that comes
with it.
- I will be creating text files that can be copied to competition folders
for the divisions and clubs
ENGARDE DOES NOT SEED BY USFA
CLASSIFICATION!!
YOU NEED TO USE FENCER CODES TO MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY

Fine Print:
This is posted as a service to the greater fencing community....Prise de Fer
Fencing Club has
no stake in the proliferation of Engarde, other than the facts that we
want to attend well run tournaments. Any harm caused by downloading these
documents while sad, are not my fault.
